Support The Festival
Margate Film Festival is the first of it’s kind in Kent.
Conceived and led by local people, we seek to represent, engage and inspire audiences, bringing communities together through film. Launching a sell-out pilot season in October ‘18, the festival showcases a range of local and international films, enriched by live performance, Q&As, exhibitions and public installations.
The festival champions inclusivity, diversity and accessibility; with affordable tickets, easy-access venues and a programme shaped by the local communities.
We pick the best films from the festival circuit, our submission platform and new releases.
We focus on scouting emerging directors, female filmmakers, local talent, and seek to amplify the voices of marginalised communities.
How can you support?
…could subsidise the cost of a ticket for a young person.
…could cover a volunteer’s expenses for a day.
…could go towards the travel costs of bringing a filmmaker to Margate.
…could pay for a technician so we can host live events.
…could cover the cost of a feature film licenses, so we can show more unusual films risk-free.
