Dynamo Revisited is an immersive projection mapping installation that recreates Dynamo: The Spirit of Ramsgate, originally displayed at the Maritime Museum in May 2025 to mark the 85th anniversary of the Dunkirk Evacuation.
In this scaled re-creation of the original event, a model of the Maritime Museum – approximately 4 metres long at a 1:10 scale, constructed primarily from waste materials sourced at Ramsgate Harbour – serves as the projection surface. Originally commissioned for this years Ramsgate Festival Sound as part of the event’s Sonic Trail.
The show, presented every 20 minutes, combines poignant visual imagery with a soundtrack featuring composers Silver Maple, Hampus Naeselius, Bonnie Grace, August Wilhelmsson, and Jakob Ahlbom, alongside authentic 1940s news casts.
