We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to play a vital role in delivering our festival events. This is your chance to work behind the scenes, support our creative community, and help create memorable experiences for filmmakers and audiences alike.
Start date: Late September
Duration: Now till end of Nov
Pay: £15/hr, approx 10 days of work

What You’ll Be Doing:
Event Production & Artist Support
- Assist the programming team with delivery of screenings, Q&As, networking events, and family programming
- Assist with venue set-up, provide roving mic support, and manage front-of-house operations
- Act as liaison for filmmakers and visiting artists, ensuring they have all necessary information
- Coordinate artist schedules, arrivals, and any special requirements
Festival Operations & Coordination
- Assist with copywriting, asset collation and filmmaker communication
- Support volunteer coordination and act as runner between festival venues
- Assist the Producer with creating event sheets and coordinating logistics
- Help with box office setup and general festival administration
- Support technical setup including equipment and signage
Marketing & Audience Engagement
- Distribute promotional materials throughout Margate and surrounding areas
- Assist with audience feedback collection & collation
- Support social media content creation and documentation during events
What We’re Looking For:
- Based in Thanet or surrounding areas
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about film and arts
- Flexible availability for festival period (26th – 30th Nov) including evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, or arts administration
- Enhanced DBS check desirable (or willingness to obtain one)
- Administrative and web-savvy skills (WordPress knowledge) an advantage

Commitment & Practical Details:
