Margate Film Festival is looking for a new team of enthusiastic volunteers to help shape the 2024 festival. Get in touch for more information.

Heritage Strand

Our new heritage stand focuses on Margate’s changing reputation across the last 100 years. We create debate by contrasting the town’s history as a tourist hot-spot, to grittier stories born out of economic neglect and fears of migration, and the newer affluent ‘Down From London’ crowds – and ask: “how does the area shape you, and how do you shape the area?”
