Part of Margate Bookie. Watch two films with a strong Margate resonance:

Ofrendas – Walking With Shrines by Thread and Word/Elspeth Penfold
Nine artists create shrines for Stories and Poems in Margate. Featuring work by Jess Kidd, Elise Valmorbida, PJ Whiteley and Owen Lowery.

Transitions by Owen Lowery
At the age of 18 Owen became paralysed from the shoulders down. As well as considering his own transition from able-bodied sports star to disabled poet, he will look at the subject of transitions in the natural world and in human terms, by looking at areas such as migration, disability and social change.
Warning – includes reference to Liverpool FC.

Both films are on the big screen at the Margate School. That’s in the Old Woolworths building opposite the Sands Hotel.

Friday 22 nd November, 5.30pm
Sunday 24 th November, 2.30pm

Both films are free, but if you book a ticket you’ll get free popcorn and maybe even some Revels.
