A haunted house diorama workshop for adults and children, led by folk horror graphic novelist Hannah Eaton.
Following their “Live Cinema in Lockdown” online show last year, the Cabinet team up once more with MFF to bring a Halloween Day & Night Special with a matinee Diorama Cinema workshop followed by an evening live score screening of Noseratu (1922).
The morning workshop is led by folk horror graphic novelist Hannah Eaton (shortlisted for Best Comic Book of 2020 by the Guardian), who will work with families to create rooms for a haunted house diorama which will then be made into a cinema using a smartphone, projector, makeshift dolly and boat-sail screen!
That evening in the church, the Cabinet showcase the workshop’s creations, before performing a live score to pandemic-era German Expressionist masterpiece Nosferatu (1922), kicking off its 100th birthday celebration with a unique score first performed at LSO St. Luke’s and composed in homage to the ground-breaking Spaghetti Western scores of the late Ennio Morricone.
This Special Event launches the Cabinet’s collaborative #shelleyfest200 project (see website for more details).
